As a lifelong athlete, health and fitness are critical elements to my everyday happiness and productivity. In achieving my personal fitness goals, I have learned that physical strength is determined by mental vigor. It is my passion to motivate others to recognize their mental, and thus physical, potential. Through my professional training, I provide my clients with tools for maximum strength, flexibility, coordination, and weight loss. With passion, I motivate and support my clients in achieving their fitness goals. Through humor, I help my clients laugh through the sweat.

SCHEDULE

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS____________________BODY DEFINEDStrength training class that may feature a variety of equipment including free weights, bands or Body Bars. Balance work may also be included in the class. BarSculpt™ 55-minute, timed exercise class to music that works each muscle group to exhaustion, while lengthening, toning and shaping muscles. The method integrates the fat-burning format of interval training, the muscle shaping technique of isometrics, the elongating principles of dance conditioning and the science of physical therapy. BarSculpt™ is inspired by the Lotte Berk Method, and brings together the disciplines of Yoga, Pilates, and sports conditioning into one system. The class utilizes mats, hand-weights, straps and a ballet barre. Beginning with a warm-up and light weight-work, the class then moves to the barre, focusing first on the thighs and seat, then the waist, hip and outer thighs, finishing off with abdominal work on the mat. A stretching section follows each strengthening section of the class in order to create strong, long, lean muscle without bulk, while increasing range of motion. FUSION STRENGTHCombination of weight training with yoga and pilates-based movements to create the perfect fusion of body and mind. INTERVALSThis class will get your heart rate up and create ann all over full body workout! Utilizes all the muscle groups alternating with periods of cardio combos and drills. INTRO TO RIDEFirst time indoor cyclists should attend this orientation so that an instructor can assist them with bike set-up and review basic cycling techniques.RIDE45 minute indoor cycling class. HOUR RIDE60 minute indoor cycling class for those who want to add more intensity and endurance to their ride.MOMMY AND MEA muscle conditioning class for new mothers that may incorporate the baby. Cardio will sometimes be added into the class format for extra endurance. For safety reasons, only non-crawling infants may be admitted into class.

The New England Aquarium's new northern fur seals, Cordova and Ursula, became engaging yoga models to children last Sunday afternoon in "Yoga with the Seals". Lululemon® at the Prudential Center, My First Yoga®, mindbodybaby®, South Boston Yoga®, and The Yoga Tree partnered with the Aquarium by supplying yoga instructors and bringing in students. The students will demonstrate their yoga poses with the seals before heading outside on the HarborWalk for a public yoga class.

The goal of this non-for-profit facility is to improve the fitness level of Dorchester residents - both adults and children, healthy and unhealthy, fit and unfit.By giving opportunities for both the well and unwell to participate in regular, low cost fitness programs, it is hoped that people in poor health will improve and those in good health will be able to develop a life-long fitness plan.
